This past week we discovered a major problem with our phone server service that has affected our answering system and voice prompts. The problem is that the server company somehow turned on their built-in answering system, which answers the phone before our equipment is programmed to take over. As a result, messages are going into a voicemail box to which we have no access and callers have not been able to access our prompt menus.
Our current server company has not been helpful in dealing with the issue. We are currently working with another company to resolve the issue and for ways to make our voicemail active once again. However, it is looking more and more likely that we will not be able to retrieve any of the messages that have been left for us during the past few weeks.
If you have called us and have left a message for anyone on the parish or cemetery staff in the past few weeks, we regret that we have not received your message and thus, have not returned your call. We are sorry for any inconvenience or distress that this may have caused, especially if the call was urgent. We ask those affected to please call again during office hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) or to email us at
[email protected]. If you know of someone who has tried to reach us, please let them know about the problem and encourage them to try again.
Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience or distress that this problem has caused; we are working to solve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
