Fr. Matt Transferred and Fr. Michael Assigned as Parochial Vicar

This past week Bishop Byrne assigned Fr. Matthew Barone as the new Parochial Vicar of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish in Lee. Fr. Matt's new assignment will begin on August 23rd. However, he begins his vacation this Sunday and it will extend to that time. So, this weekend will be his last full weekend with us. He will return next Sunday to celebrate the 11 AM Mass and we will have a farewell reception for Fr. Matt in the School Gym next Sunday, August 15^th from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Also, this past week, Bishop Byrne assigned Fr. Michael Bernier, who has been in residence with us as he recovers from his strokes, to be our new Parochial Vicar. Fr. Michael is excited to return to ministry and will begin slowly as he continues to regain some strength.
