Scam Alert Reminder

BE ON GUARD! Criminals are constantly coming up with new internet schemes to try to trick well-intentioned people into sending them money. These con artists can be very convincing and are good at sounding legitimate, BUT REMEMBER, no priest or parish staff member would ever request a donation in the form of a gift card. It is almost certainly a scam if someone requests payment through a gift card. Do not respond, and immediately call your local police department. You should also alert your priest or parish staff member using the phone numbers and/or email addresses in the parish bulletin/parish website/diocesan website.
